Freeride/ Jump School.

Level 2: Red and Black trails – a bit of riding experience needed.

Designed to teach the art of jumping safely and properly, Chris and Rowan’s freeride courses build riders up to clearing tabletops and doubles at red/ black route level. Gain from the unrivalled experience Chris Ball and Rowan Sorrell have gained from riding almost every major freeride park in the Northern hemisphere. Learning is guaranteed.

The full day class has been designed to explain the basics without overwhelming you. Spend a morning at Freeride School and by the afternoon you’ll be confident enough to get out on the jumps and put those new skills to some good use. Wheelies, manuals and the basics of jumping are all covered throughout course. Classes can be done on any mountain bike be it cross country, downhill or a hardtail. Although, flat pedals and a low seat are strongly recommended.

Our Scottish courses also now include how to hit the wallrides in the Freeride park at Glentress.

After this course you’ll be able to:

Hit jumps at speed in control
Clear tabletops and maybe some small doubles
Know how to clear gaps
Manual properly
Ride drop-offs of a medium to large size
Learn the concepts of hip jumps and jumps on corners
Wallride
