<h3>Why choose Dirtschool</h3>Dirt School was set up by Chris Ball following the realisation that there is no company that can offer mountain bikers coaching from someone who has actually been there and done it and still doing it. Why not learn how to corner, manual or jump from someone who actually can? Be it Cross country, DH or just hanging out at the trails, there’s something for you. Learn the techniques from the guys who’ve actually developed them over years of international riding and racing. With that in mind, we’ve managed to keep to our aim and are famous for our our relaxed atmosphere and mellow approach. We teach in a way we’d like to be taught. Our classes are flexible and a great laugh. You’ll leave us with an open mind and loads to think about. Knowing not only how to do something, but why and when. Something that few others will give you. Come along and reap the rewards of our experiences. We’ve ridden all around the world during 6 years of World Cup competition. Including over 50 World Cup finals, amassing a list of top 30 World Cup results, a Scottish Champion title, a Welsh Champion jersey, a silver for the overall European Maxxis Cup series, a Solo Trans-Scotland win and a place on the GB European Championships team for DH. We’ve all worked on numerous projects from writing books and making films or developing elite level programmes with National Governing Bodies to teaching young kids with issues how to use cycling as a means of escape. Our career highlights also include the front cover of Alex Rankin’s worldwide bestselling DVD Earthed 4, keynote speeches for both Napier University and Edinburgh City Council and numerous articles and photographs in Dirt, MBR, MBUK and a number of other publications. Alongside its racing pedigree, Dirt School’s founder Chris Ball – has gained a first class Sports and Exercise Science degree and works hand in hand developing world class Scottish youth and junior mountain bike athletes with Scottish Cycling. His World Class programme has so far led Ruaridh Cunningham to a gold at the Junior World Championships. No mean feat. Andy is involved with a number of projects including The Sports Academy and Adventure Edinburgh. Our Freeride classes are totally unique and will teach you how to jump properly in a day. Something we stand by. Don’t learn from someone who still does big pencils over the jumps and claims they can teach you too! Come to Dirt School and guarantee the ability of your tutor. At Dirt School we’re still on the cutting edge of the sport. Competing, riding and training others across all disciplines and levels.
